Volunteer Opportunity

Day of Caring – April 30, 2026

United Way’s Day of Caring is coming soon! Volunteers will help local seniors get ready for spring with light yard work and outdoor projects.

  • Date: April 30, 2026
  • Location: Sandusky County
  • Sign-Up Deadline: April 17

Projects may include raking, trimming, weeding, and light outdoor cleanup. This opportunity is designed for seniors who are physically unable to complete the work themselves and cannot afford to hire help.

* We cannot guarantee all seniors will be matched with a volunteer, but we will do our best.

Volunteers are needed every day in our community and you can help!

There's no one cause for the issues we face — and no single solution. Together we can GIVE JOY and make a real difference.

Whether you want to volunteer once per week or once per year, United Way connects individuals, corporate teams, school and church groups, and entire organizations to meaningful volunteer work.
