2024-2025 United Way Community Campaign

Dear Sandusky County Residents,

As we embark on the 2024 United Way Campaign, we invite you to join us in Leading the Way toward a brighter and more hopeful future for Sandusky County. For 94 years, United Way has been a beacon of support, ensuring that every resident has access to critical services in their time of need. With your continued generosity, we can keep United Way a cornerstone of our community and build on the progress we've made together.

Your support last year raised $696,121, directly funding 25 programs that transform lives. You helped over 2,091 neighbors with basic needs, provided financial assistance to 98 cancer patients, and responded to 994 urgent calls for help. These numbers reflect Sandusky County’s heart—neighbors helping neighbors.

Remember, Leading the Way doesn’t require grand gestures. Small, consistent acts of generosity ripple outward, creating lasting change. Whether it’s a one-time gift or a monthly contribution, every dollar you give helps!

This year, our goal is to raise $725,000, and we need your help to reach it. Here’s an easy way to think about how you can make a difference in your daily life by LEADing the way with your donation:

• L – Latte: Could you skip your daily latte or specialty drink just a few times and donate that amount to help provide food for a family in need?
• E – Entertainment: Could you set aside the cost of one streaming subscription or audiobook to support youth programs or mental health services?
• A – Appetizers: Instead of splurging on appetizers at dinner or an indulgent dessert, consider donating that money to invest in after-school programs, mentoring, and education support services for at-risk youth.
• D – Delivery Services: Avoid food delivery fees, grocery delivery charges, or online purchases that charge shipping and handling and instead pledge that money to help fund initiatives like meal delivery, home care, or wellness check-ins for seniors living alone.

United Way’s mission is simple: To unite people and resources to build a stronger community. By coming together through small, meaningful contributions, we can lift up our neighbors and ensure everyone in Sandusky County has the opportunity to thrive.
